About

Khimavath Haridhar Memorial Foundation is an initiative by the friends of Khimavat Haridhar from IIT Madras, Piramal Foundation, and IIM Ahmedabad, and his family. True to his vision and commitment towards social change, it aspires to execute meaningful programmes which have a direct and meaningful impact on society. The Foundation also plans to set up a dedicated Mental Health Cell. The unfortunate demise of Shahal K, a B-Tech student from Haridhar's batch at college and of Fathima Latheef, a student of Department of HSS IIT Madras, has inspired the founders to channel the best efforts of the Foundation to improve the mental health scenario of students of higher education Institutions.

SECRETARY'S NOTE

Khimavath Haridhar Foundation is a platform that aspires to integrate both the innovative spirit of a startup and the social commitment of an NGO in order to address pressing challenges faced by the social and development sectors. On the occasion of the release of its first newsletter, I would like to thank Khimavath Haridhar's family, his friends and colleagues from IIT Madras, Piramal Foundation and IIM Ahmedabad for coming together to create this wonderful initiative.
To go to an unknown for such souls is never possible and to shift from the stable is always permanent. Hari was one of the person who becomes the life of the place he goes to and make it his own. I am very sure wherever he is he'll make that place his own and lively just like him.

He lived in the moment and never forgot to smile. After college, he opted for the social- development sector. With Piramal Foundation and later with MGNF, he was building a strong career. But, what mattered most to him is if he was able to make a positive contribution to people's lives. I hope this trust, started in Hari's memory can materialize some of the causes he believed in. We used to fight over silly things but couldn't stay not talking to each other for a long time. He was my shining star who made me happy always, and I used to enjoy his companion.
